MadeInPlant
MadeInPlant programs plants as living biofactories to generate antibodies, metabolites, and enzymes with impact on health, cosmetics, and agriculture.
MadeInPlant is an interuniversity spin-off that emerged from the Institute of Molecular and Cellular Plant Biology (IBMCP), with the mission of transferring plant biotechnology to the market; the company designs genetically modified plants to produce high-value biomolecules, such as antibodies, human growth factors, or metabolites useful in the healthcare, cosmetic, agri-food, and industrial sectors.
The project offers personalized metabolic engineering and gene editing services, accompanying from molecular design to confined field cultivation trials: this approach converts plants into sustainable platforms for the efficient and economical production of complex compounds.
With regional and national recognition since 2022, MadeInPlant seeks applied scientific excellence and to contribute to a more sustainable bioeconomy by facilitating access to advanced technologies, promoting innovation in health, food, and industrial production while strengthening the scientific-business link with social and environmental impact.
