Transkriptorium uses advanced AI to transform historical manuscripts into accessible databases, preserving our cultural heritage with precision and speed.

Transkriptorium AI, a spin-off that emerged in 2020 from the Universitat Politècnica de València and the prestigious PRHLT center, develops solutions based on artificial intelligence and deep learning to transcribe, index, and extract information from digitized documents, both handwritten and typed, without the need for prior metadata.

Its technology is capable of navigating historical collections, recognizing varied handwriting styles, irregular states of conservation, abbreviations, and complex structures; this converts large archives into interactive repositories, allowing immediate semantic searches and legally reliable access to the original content.

Transkriptorium offers its services to administrations, archives, and cultural institutions, as well as technology consultancies linked to heritage digitization; its projects include historical collections in which the solution accelerates tasks that previously took weeks or months, reducing them to tenths of a second.

With a rigorous scientific basis and a firm transfer to the market, the company protects and democratizes access to our documentary legacy. Its mission is to ensure that the knowledge of the past is available for the future, integrating artificial intelligence into cultural management with responsibility, precision, and efficiency.
