The solutions developed by Valyra Aerospace improve the efficiency and sustainability of aerial operations through advanced vertical takeoff Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs). Their proposal significantly reduces operational costs and extends autonomy in critical surveillance and logistics missions.

History

Surveillance, reconnaissance, and logistics operations in maritime and defense environments have traditionally relied on manned helicopters, characterized by high operating costs, limited autonomy, and high logistical complexity.

Valyra Aerospace emerged to address this challenge by developing Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) with Vertical Takeoff and Landing (VTOL) capability, specifically designed for naval environments. These platforms integrate advanced technologies such as distributed propulsion and hydrogen-based systems, improving energy efficiency, reducing costs, and increasing mission autonomy.

The proposal materializes in models such as the STS-110, oriented towards immediate deployment, and the VX-110, which incorporates sustainability solutions and represents a technological evolution towards low-emission aircraft. This development positions the company as an innovative player in a growing market, facilitating the transition to more efficient and sustainable solutions in the aeronautical sector.

Impact

  • Reduction of operational cost from up to €3,000/h (helicopter) to €200–300/h (UAV)
  • Increase in mission autonomy up to 6 hours, surpassing traditional solutions
  • Application in critical surveillance, defense, and maritime logistics operations
  • Development of hydrogen-based and distributed propulsion technology, oriented towards sustainability
